RenewElec Team - Ph.D. Students
RenewElec is a collaborative effort funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, the RK Mellon Foundation, the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, the Electric Power Research Institute, the Heinz Endowments, and lead by Carnegie Mellon University's Engineering and Public Policy Department. Jared Moore is a graduate from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Engineering and Public Policy Program at Carnegie Mellon University. Before matriculating to CMU, Jared worked for WorleyParsons Group as a consultant acting as the owner’s engineer for dozens of utility scale solar power projects in development in California and around the world. He has also interned with the developer, enXco, where he provided technical expertise for potential biomass, geothermal, and solar projects.
